The two active crude oil export terminals are Ras Isa Marine Terminal and Ash-Shihr Petroleum Export Terminal. The salient information is :

1) Ras Isa Marine Terminal
The terminal is a permanent Floating Storage & Offloading (FSO) installation called "SAFER" for exporting Marib Crude oil from the Ras Isa Marine Terminal.

The 409,000 DWT SAFER including its bow mooring, hoses, pipeline and manifold (PLEM) and pipeline from Ras Isa, and all waters surrounding the "SAFER" within a two (2) nautical miles radius.






The (auxiliary)Single Point Mooring Buoy (SBM), floating hoses, Plem and the pipeline from Ras Isa and all waters surrounding the SBM within a one (1) nautical mile radius; and
The Designated Holding Anchorage.
 

Location :
It is located approximately 4.8 nautical miles offshore Ras Isa in position:
Latitude 15°  07' North            Longitude 42° - 36' East
The coordinates of the rectangular Holding Anchorage for vessels waiting to load is:

Latitude 15°  05' North            Longitude 42° - 32' East
Latitude 15°  03' North            Longitude 42° - 32' East
Latitude 15°  05' North            Longitude 42° - 36' East
Latitude 15°  03' North            Longitude 42° - 36' East

This Terminal is operated by Yemen Hunt Oil Company (YHOC).

2) ASH - SHIHR PETROLEUM EXPORT TERMINAL

This Terminal is located on the Southern coastline of the Republic of Yemen approximately 230 nautical miles of east of Aden:

SPM Position :
       Latitude North 14 40' 35 Longitude East 49 31' 16

       Navigation Light :
       White Flashing "U" Vis 3 miles

Navigation Buoys :
       Permanent navigation lights are exhibited on the two navigation buoys marking
       the 27.4 meter (90 Feet) water depth seabed contour. FL.Y.5 sec with radar reflectors,

     
       Position of the buoys are:

       East buoy....Latitude North 1441' 15 Longitude East 49 31' 10
       West buoy...Latitude North 1440' 55 Longitude East 49 30' 31

     *  "B" Mooring Bouys Latitude 1440'50  Longitude East 4929'30


Seabed soil characteristics within the terminal area are dolomite limestone and are not suitable for anchoring. Therefore no anchorage area is warranted as being suitable, by the terminal operator. For this reason master of Tankers must not attempt to anchor within the terminal area. This terminal is operated by Canadian Occidental Petroleum Yemen (CANOXY).
